Born in Glasgow in 1868, Charles Rennie Mackintosh trained as an architect and studied at the Glasgow School of Art. At the turn of the century he became one of the forerunners of the distinctive 'Glasgow' style of Art Nouveau. For twenty years he lived and worked as an acrhitect/designer in Glasgow where much of his best work was created and still remains. Yet he was under-appreciated during his life. These pieces are inspired by his work.
