A bold design, reminiscent of Medieval patterning. Its name comes from the old yards surrounding Kirkwall castle, built in the middles ages and demolished in the late 19th century. Our shop and studio sits in this area, reputedly on the spot of the castle's blacksmith's. So the tradition of metalworking here is much longer than when Ola set up business in 1960.
